The Times They are a Changing

As a new year is upon us, there are also exciting new things happening at FUND Consulting.  First of all, FUND Consulting has a new location at 1165 N. Clark St, Suite 300, Chicago IL 60610.  This improved space gives the FUND team increased functional capacity and closer proximity to our Chicago based clients and partners.

Additionally, and most importantly, the new year will bring a roll out of FUND Consulting’s new business model. As a result of our strategic planning, FUND Consulting learned that we are most effective to our CDFI clients when several factors are in place.  The first success factor identified is when we have an ongoing relationship with an organization, becoming members of a team rather than performing isolated services. The second is when our  application assistance services are linked to our strategic services.  The final factor identified is when client organizational values and work processes are aligned with ours.

As a result of these lessons learned, FUND Consulting has adjusted its business model, in terms of our approach to CDFI funding services.  We will be working with a cohort of 15 banks and 15 loan funds or credit unions to provide the best value and highest likelihood of success for our clients.

FUND Consulting has approximately 2/3 of this cohort identified or contracted as of this blog.  We look forward to rolling out this exciting new approach in the new year.
